Our dress code for the welcome party is “summer chic.” Please wear cocktail attire, but feel free to have fun with colors and fabrics! Dresses can be any length and jackets for men aren’t needed.
On the day of the wedding, our dress code is formal. For ladies, please wear long dresses. For men, please wear a suit—but there’s no need to wear a tuxedo! We’ll share Pinterest boards with dress code inspiration soon.

We kindly ask you for an initial RSVP before August 8, 2025 via this form.
We’ll also be sending out formal invitations in the mail, and will share a survey to collect hotel and travel information about 6-months out from the wedding.
If your availability changes between filling out the first survey, please let us know as soon as possible! -
The RSVP survey will indicate the name of your plus-one.
Depending on our head count, we may be able to accommodate additional plus-ones closer to the date of the wedding.
Regardless, we have made sure that everyone invited has a friend or group of friends that they will know. -
While we love your kids, our wedding will be an adults-only event.

In the Loire Valley in August, the historical highs are in the mid-70s and lows are about 60 degrees Fahrenheit—but the weather can be unpredictable!
After sunset, it may get a bit chilly, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl just in case. -
The welcome party and the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will take place outdoors. The after-party will take place indoors.
In case of inclement weather, all events will be moved indoors.
Additionally, the main floor of the Château will be open throughout all events in case guests need to sit in the shade or cool.
-
During the ceremony, we kindly ask that no phones are used. During the other events, feel free to take your own photos!
We will share professional photos as soon as we receive them.
-
At the welcome party, a casual dinner will be served.
On the wedding day, there will be canapés during cocktail hour and a formal dinner.
There is space to indicate dietary restrictions or allergies on the RSVP form, and we will follow up at a later date regarding entree choices.
-
We’re still confirming timing, but we anticipate the after-party to go until 1 a.m.
We will follow up in additional communications to ascertain whether an early shuttle would be appreciated for anyone who would like to leave a bit earlier.

Both of us love to travel!
We have been interested in hosting a destination wedding since before we got engaged.
After searching venues together and checking out multiple countries, we found Château du Grand-Lucé and agreed it would be the perfect place to host our wedding. -
For U.S. citizens, there are no visa requirements to enter France. You do need to have a passport with more than three months’ validity from the date you plan to leave the Schengen area.
For non-U.S. citizens, please refer to the French government’s visa site for up-to-date requirements. And note that if you are combining your travel with other European destinations, some—like the UK—may require U.S. citizens to complete an electronic travel authorization.

We will share a list of recommended hotels in Le Mans in the coming months.
Keep a lookout on this website for an “accommodations” tab.
-
Le Mans is best known for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the world’s oldest endurance car race, but it also has a rich history.
The old town, Cité Plantagenêt, features Roman walls, narrow cobblestone streets, and the Gothic-Romanesque Le Mans Cathedral.
The town is situated in the Loire Valley, so there are many cute countryside towns and wineries nearby.
Please see these features by the National Geographic and the Good Life France for additional recommendations!

Because this wedding is a destination event, the best gift you can give us is your presence.
Traveling costs time and money, and we are so grateful!
However, should you like to send us an additional gift, we will link a wedding registry here shortly. -
Updates will be shared here and via email once you RSVP.
A few weeks prior to the wedding, you’ll receive all the details you need for the events!
